There is one event that every florist in Auckland, New Zealand looks forward to each year - the Ellerslie Flower Show. The largest garden exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere, the show features exhibitions showcasing the art of the florist, alongside displays of landscaping and garden design, horticulture, fruit and vegetables, organics and much more.

Established by the Rotary Club of Auckland in 1994, the Ellerslie Flower Show now has a permanent home in the Auckland Botanic Gardens in Manukau City, New Zealand. This year the flower show is held over 15th to 19th November and it is anticipated that it will again attract over 70,000 visitors. Modelled on the Chelsea Flower Show in the UK, the show features exhibits, sculpture, music and entertainment such as petanque, croquet and horseshoe pitching.
